It's the Little Things

It's amazing how the little things in life can make you sooooo happy! Today, you would have thought I'd won the lottery. The Bride came to my downtown office and I took her to lunch on the mall. We had yummy Mexican food and had a little time to kill after we ate so we wandered over to the Goodwill store. Now, if you happen to read this blog, you might have read this post about thrift stores jacking up their prices. I was one of those ranters. But I have to take it back when it comes to our downtown Goodwill store. Cause you see, I found five of these plates in good to great condition.

I have had these dishes for over 25 years and have loved them every step of the way. They set a fabulous table and you can use any kind of decorations in any color and they look even more fabulous. Since we have lived in the "kibbutz" these past four years, five of my plates have suffered fatal catastophes. But when I spied the five in the store today for...get this...75 cents each, I wanted to sing. But I just let my heart sing instead all the way to the cash register. I'm telling ya, it's the little things!!!

Oh, I love those little things, too!!! Sounds like a great find that put a smile on your face, and that's what is important. :) Great find!

Yes, so true, it's those Little things that make such a remarkable difference...inside and out.
Now wrap those babies up and send them MY way, k?
Hugs,
Melissa

OH I agree, it is the little things...
Orr thrift stores were getting outrageous... now reality has hit them too.

Boutiques can charge the price, not thrift stores!

I am also very pleased to meet you! Thank You for stopping by and good luck tomorrow with the give away drawing!

With Kindness,
Mary

I lol'd...because whenever I find stuff like that, I literally gasp. And more often then not, loudly!

As I say, it doesn't take much to make me thrilled!
