God is good. Not some of the time, all of the time. Even when we're walking through valleys. I should know. I have been through more valleys than I even care to remember in the past 7 years. God has brought us through and we're much stronger for it.
Today we took a drive in the new Edge up through the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. It was an incredible spring day and the wild flowers were glorious. I wish I knew what they were called (the only one I can recall the name of are the lupines) and I especially wish I had thought to take my camera this morning to church with us. But impromptu trips are like that. We stopped in a little mountain community and had some delicious Mexican food. We had heard this place had good food and now we can concur. The Comedian ran into the father of his childhood best friend as we were leaving the restaurant. It's a very small world in this great big valley. We took a different route home and I enjoyed watching the mountain creek near the roadside as it meandered through the hills. The oaks looked majestic and the cows content as they munched on all of the fresh, green pasture. Yes...God is good!

Did you go to Prather? Is that the Mexican restaurant there? We're always looking for new places to eat. Have you gone up Sample road to Humphrey's Station. That is a beautiful drive and a great place for breakfast. Nice meeting you!! I'll be visiting your blog often.
