Feeling Groovy

Slow down, you move too fast.

You got to make the morning last.

Just kicking down the cobble stones.

Looking for fun and feelin' groovy.

That was the theme song for our Sunday afternoon. The weather was sunny but a bit breezy so we ventured off on a lovely drive (The Comedian, The Bride and me) through the country along the foothills. We drove to this sweet little out of the way winery http://tivymountainwinery.com/index.htm where we were greeted by two resident dalmations, Rowdy and Fancy and the humongous Winston, a lab/mastiff mix. The hosts couldn't have been more gracious, the wine more yummy or the hors d'oeurves more tasty if they tried. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and wandered around the garden while sipping some valley produced wine. The winery sits amongst vineyards but also citrus groves and there are many rose bushes along the paths. The smell in the air was divine. We picked up our wine supply and a cute little Wine Diva apron (pour moi), and off we drove. Along the way home we stopped and watched the foals kicking up their heels in the pastureland. We stopped at a little junk (or should I say junque) shop in the big town of Centerville (pop. 660) where we picked up a bird house to put by the pond and some rusted iron wall planters for the fence (we're trying to hide some of the block fence until the trees fill in). We drove home rested and relaxed and with waaaaay less $$$ in our pockets. Oh well, we're feeling groovy!
